Suat Sarıgül

Auditing Committee Member

Suat Sarıgül completed his undergraduate studies at Gazi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration. He began his professional career in 2007 and was appointed Tax Inspector in 2011.

Mr. Sarıgül assumed various administrative functions during the establishment and organization of the Tax Inspection Board, which was set up by Decree with the Force of Law No. 646 in 2011. Then, he served as Revenue Administration Group Manager at the Ankara Tax Office. As per the Presidential Decision No. 2020/53 dated 4 February 2020, Mr. Sarıgül was appointed Head of the Tax Inspection Board, a post he had been holding in an acting capacity since 1 March 2019. He served in this post until 20 May 2021.

He was chair of the Board of Directors at the Turkish Sugar Factories Inc., a board member at the Istanbul Settlement and Custody Bank Inc., and a member of the Tax Council at the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Treasury and Finance. He holds a Certified Public Accountant license.

Having contributed to various journals with articles on tax, economics, and accounting, Mr. Sarıgül is the author of the book “Vergisel Yönleriyle Genel Muhasebe” (General Accounting with Tax-Related Aspects-in Turkish only), which is currently in its fifth edition. He speaks English.

Mr. Sarıgül is married and a father of three.

He has been a member of the Auditing Committee of the CBRT since 18 May 2020.
