The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (the Bank), acting in the capacity of a data controller, processes personal data in accordance with the core principles laid down in the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, for the purposes of carrying out the Bank’s activities and policies, following up corporate governance activities, planning information security processes, ensuring business continuity, performing risk management, and establishing contractual relationships, judicial procedures, and communication with other official institutions.

The personal data you share with the Bank such as your name, surname, ID number, residential address, phone number and e-mail address are processed in the data filing system on the legal grounds that such processing is necessary “for compliance with a legal obligation to which the data controller is subject” and “for the legitimate interests pursued by the data controller, provided that this processing shall not violate the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject”.

To measure the security and service quality, the main entrances and other security areas of Bank premises are monitored and recorded with Closed-Circuit Television Systems (CCTV) in real time. Phone calls with the Bank are also recorded.

The Bank takes security measures at the highest possible level to ensure that your personal data are processed, stored and protected in accordance with Law No. 6698. Your personal data are stored for a certain period of time pursuant to legal regulations. During this period, your data can be shared with authorized public institutions as well as with private persons and institutions in Turkey and abroad, to be limited to the situations and content specified in the relevant legislation.

You can apply to the Bank for any requests listed in Article 11 of Law No. 6698 regarding the processing of your personal data.

Please send your requests to the Bank’s Head Office at “Hacı Bayram Mahallesi, İstiklal Caddesi, No:10 06050 Ulus-Altındağ/Ankara” in writing, or via an e-mail to or (the Bank’s Registered Electronic Mail [REM] address), enclosing documents that verify your identity.
