Balance of Payments and Related Statistics are, in the broadest terms, statistics compiling all economic transactions that a country carries out with non-residents as flow data. Additionally, statistics compiled as stock data such as international investment position, outstanding loans received from abroad by private sector, and short-term external debt statistics also fall under the scope of these statistics.

“BIS-Locational and Consolidated Banking Statistics” includes data on the country, foreign exchange and sector structure of banks’ assets and liabilities decomposed based on place of residence.
