Governor Erdem Başçı delivered a presentation at the 82nd Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the CBRT.

Governor Erdem Başçı delivered a presentation on “Economic Outlook and Monetary Policy” at the 82nd Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey on Thursday, 17 April 2014 at 14.00 hours.

Governor Başçı emphasized the following points:

  • Inflation is expected to peak in May.
  • Loan growth rates are approaching the reference value of 15%.
  • The improvement in the current account deficit is expected to continue.
