Governor Erdem Başçı delivered a speech in Istanbul.

Governor Erdem Başçı delivered a speech in “Sustainable Mega Cities and Financial Centers from New York to Istanbul Conference” on Friday, 13 June 2014 at 10.00 hours.

Governor Başçı emphasized the following points:

• Inflation is expected to begin its descent as of June CPI data.
• Loan growth rates are approaching 15%.
• The improvement in current account deficit is expected to continue.
• The pace of GDP growth is around 4 percent.
• A healty financial sector and prudent macroeconomic policies contribute to the sustainable growth in Turkey.
