Press Release on Turkish Lira Currency Swap Market

With the press release dated August 31, 2018, it was announced that the Turkish Lira currency swap market had been opened at the Central Bank and the transactions would be conducted via quotation method with banks authorised in the Foreign Exchange and Banknotes Market within their pre-determined limits.

The transactions to be conducted in the aforementioned market on behalf of the Central Bank will be started on November 1, 2018, and banks’ limits will be 10 percent of their pre-determined Foreign Exchange and Banknotes Market transaction limits. The details regarding the transactios will be announced via data vendors on a daily basis.
