Born in 1964 in İskenderun, Hatay, Derya Yücel is from Gümüşhane in origin. 

Mr. Yücel who got his license degree from the Education Faculty of Gazi University in 1986 has began to work for the CBRT in the same year. He has worked for 32 years, serving in all ranks for Accounting Department from officer to Deputy Executive Director and  assumed duties in fulfilling procedures regarding the accounting for gold and foreign exchange transactions held by the Bank and the preparation and publishing of the Bank’s financial statements. 

Mr. Yücel, who speaks English, is married and father of two daughter.

Derya Yücel has served as a Member of the Board of the CBRT since May 1, 2018.
